She drifts like the water
In her old blue dress
She ripples on the shores
Of her own distress

She feels with a thousand
pounds of empathy
She deals with much more than
Simple sympathy

Her eyes elegantly
gaze across the room
Soft whites and blues
See more than you assume

Her last escape from all
All that those eyes see
She doesn't touch the floor
Away from pain and misery

Many eyes now tear for her
To mourn is the only feeling
When lifes real angel
Floats down from the ceiling

Hmm.. This gave me chills.. Very well done.

With a little piece of tomorrow,
You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye.
Because today won't last forever,
And the past will only make you cry.

Very well written, many times we never know all there is to a person till it's too late.

Thank you all for reading and responding to this one.  I have a rewrite of it somewhere because I didn't particularly care for the last stanza all that much.  Again, many thanks for reading it.
