Stealth of misty fall,
lurks in cool mornings
wealth of harvest times
ripening splendor.
Stealing the warm breath
of summer.
Exhaling instead,
frosty eves,
that creep upon
leafy canopies of green,
repainting their beauty,
into a bright farewell.
The winds of fall
begin singing their
closing hymn.
Blowing the hymnal pages
of bright colored notes.
As the yellow and orange
wonders flit and twirl,
on the song of falls
final chords,
they sing a song
of farewell,
and dance the dance
of the butterflies
of fall.

Ellie,
Such beautiful imagery and imagination splashed magically with wonderful colors! What a delight to read.

Your verse as beautiful as the Butterfly softly flutters and like a summers breeze drifts away.

I am left with a gentle but lasting impression that promises the spring.

Wonderful

Ellie~
What a lilting little piece.
Butterflies flutter-bye
Leaves - leave
Fall - falls

Just lovely, lovely thoughts.
