The mud is flying high this year,
Mud-slinging at its' very best,
Each candidate trashing the other,
The sound bytes will attest!

Debates don't settle anything,
More words flying loose and fast,
Each one accusing the other,
Of "crimes" committed in the past!

Voters aren't sure what to think,
About this savage verbal brawl,
Perhaps, should put them in the ring,
Get this settled after all!

If mud-slinging were an Olympic event,
The voters would be the senders,
Pack Gore and Bush off to Aussie-land,
They would be the gold contenders!
