I had a very strange experience and this is the result.

LET ME DANCE

Let me dance, let me dance, as I did in the past
in a land of green trees, dew sprinkled grass,
when love in my heart flowed through my arms,
and my fingers with grace twinkled like stars.

Let me dance, let me dance, my eyes on his face,
rainbow bright colours, each blink no disgrace,
God’s halo of light smiling gleeful delight
meeting and matching hearts’ needing desire.

Let me dance in the twilight, morning sunrise,
deep in the night while resting my eyes
for life here on earth where I lived once before
now opens the way to give so much more.

Let me dance in his arms with blessing from God,
dance for his pleasure with hearts joined in love,
dance in his home which will then be my own,
with roses in bloom scenting each room.

Let me dance in the wind feeling spirits of fire
invading my body and making me wild
with love for the earth that comforted, held,
my hopes and my fears, remembered and felt.

Let me dance in the sea, weightless and free
with currents of need pulling him near
and on ripples of quiet, not rough morning tide,
let me dance as a sigh from his lips to mine.

Let me dance, let me dance, as clouds up above
gliding and floating, re-shaping our love.
As seasons depart, turning, changing the earth
let us dance together to celebrate birth.

Let me dance as the sun burning fierce in the sky
with passion aflame striking deep in his mind.
Let my arms whirl and twirl, streaks orange and gold,
embracing our bed where true loving takes hold.

Let me dance, let me dance, through trees standing bold
bound firm in the ground as love’s anchors God told,
to reach for the stars holding hands sure and fast
for trees sign the pledge of love here and afar.

Please let me dance, let me dance in my soul
together with his in God’s heavenly home
which starts here on earth, love following on
to forever, eternity, ending…never to know.

Oh, please, please let me dance, let me dance!

Hello, Marge. Thank you for reading. The one who wishes to dance again seems to do so more with her arms and hands than her feet.

Perhaps my "experience" was a dream but...I know it wasn't.
