You say to wait, So wait I do. Standing here patiently, Waiting for you. You say more time, Is all you need. So silently I watch, As your life you lead. Just a little while longer, You say to me. So I stay some more, Wondering why you don't see... Time was what you wanted, So time was what I gave. Now it's time to move on; Time to stop your charade. My own life won't last forever, I can't keep on standing here. So with one final goodbye, I'm shedding my last tear. With a little piece of tomorrow, You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye. Because today won't last forever, And the past will only make you cry. |
