Sounds of Silence

Can you hear the stillness
creep into the night
warning of the silence
coming gust of plight.

Here, awaiting moonglow
amid the blackened sea
reflections of a stranger
glaring back at me.

Silence and the stillness
percolate my heart
lonely in the sea breeze
sounds, swallowing the dark.

Well done Alle'cram. This is a dark, lonely poem, with some very good descriptions words. I like your style.

Marcy; this is hauntingly lovely, almost surreal! Beautiful writing, love, ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

I'm sure we've all experienced such moments. You've described them perfectly! Well done, Marcy!

Marcy,
You have painted a vivid scene, richly descriptive, and real! This is so well written! Great job!

Marcy~
Firstly - this is BEAUTIFUL !

Secondly - did we have a spritual collision ?

You wrote -
'Silence and the stillness
percolate my heart'

I wrote -
'Percolating twilight pleasures
erupting with the glow of sun'

Now there are lots of words that would be
used in the same poetry within a short span -
I think it sort of spiritual that
percolate/percolating would be among them.

Well, unless of course, we owned a Coffee shop !
*Hello - spirit friend ! !

Enjoyed this beauty even more !

In the stillness and in the silence,
Things can be heard. . .

Excellent Marcy. . .

"Lonley in the sea breeze
Sounds, Swallowing the dark"

Oh so true.

What I write and others read is your own experiance and perceptions.
