heres an oldie..but for tricks..here it is   this i wrote for her when she discovered her poet
------------------------------------------

i scan the page
and go back again.
a smile touches my face;
here, in ink
and water color words
is the life of a mortal heart.
i see myself,
and i see you--
i grasp another time;
i laugh with the laughter
heal with the wounds,
and i gently embrace the pain.
a wall of words
to hold emotion--
i know the passage in.
a hall of words
in colored lights--
i see you have found it too...

dg-
**BIG SMILES** just had to be the first to
respond to this one.  thanks so much for
posting it.  you know...if it hadn't been
for the inspiration that reading your
poetry gave me, i may never have found
my poet.  for that i owe you big.
this one in particular is very special to me...
  one of my faves.

  love you great big bunches!!

This is a wonderful poem, and amazing how we never know when our poetry will touch another in miraculous ways! Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Dee, you may have written it for tricks, and isn't she the lucky one. This is a great read, the master strikes again! Can't you send me some of your magic, so I can grab the rainbow too. If you will dip your pen in stardust what do you expect, sprinkle me with some as you fly by. Take care, love and stuff Bubbles : /font>

delightful read, dg, you are truly gifted.

I've read plenty of poems about words, this is the first that I've read about watercolor paints. I like the way you use different colors instead of the same boring color. It really relates to the poem.
