MY BROTHER’S B - B GUN I remember, when I was a young boy of about seven years, a sad little tale that brings back many tears. On a bright and sunny day as pretty as they come, I decided to go hunting with my brother’s B – B Gun. On several occasions I shot that B - B pellet, Always hoping, but I never, ever hit my target. I didn’t expect anything more, like all the times in the past, But this time was different- A memory that will last and last. I fired that B - B Gun many times, just to hear it “Ping”. But on this day, I fired again at a sparrow when I heard it sing. There it was above my head, GOD’s creation singing in the trees. It died as it fell. I cried, and fell to my knees. There was nothing I could do as I watched it fall to the ground.. But now I am haunted everyday by the Silence of that Sound. |

Ahhh, Melton...I also had similar experiences with the weapon. dejavu for me..nice piece. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
