The Heart Of You

Sending whispers on the winds
To blanket you in "kind"
Wiping tear stains from your face
While giving warmth to mind
Feel the laughter in the night
Let in the winds of "old"
Bring to you the memories of
Your treasured thoughts to hold.

Breathe with me my thoughts of you
Calming fears of dark
Tender words, will touch you with
To light for you a spark
Hold you with my arms, around
And share my loving true
Sending whispers on the winds
To touch the heart of you....

this is beautiful Maureen...i already have such an affinity for the wind (which is part of the reason i like this poem so much)...keep whispering on the wind...maybe your messages of love will reach not only the subject of this poem, but everyone!

Very warm and sweet...I too like the references to the wind...

With a little piece of tomorrow,
You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye.
Because today won't last forever,
And the past will only make you cry.
