Poet

Words consumate
as waters turn to waves.
The pen a Titanic between
on-course and discourse,
tipping amid wet graves.

The writer sails
sans praising quips
and knows of none
as mast, its canvas strips.

There is no nobility
in a sinking ship,
only panic.

This is one that it appears you've given much thought- and made good use of analogy.
May it not sink like the Titanic before it is read and appreciated by many.  David

Thank you, deleeme. Sometimes, as a poet, I
feel I'm sinking fast. *LOL* This was one of those moments....chanson~

Chanson,
A poets passions are pressed to extremes between the gentle harbor and the torrential storms on the open sea, each expressing beauty and rage. Thoughtful verse!
