         To turn the wind

The light sends faux pas of ruin
Spewing from a half moons grin.
Running chills down through my spine.
Forming tears of aqua brine.

It always starts with streams of gleams
Little things that theme my dreams
Winding the blaze to white hot thoughts
That fire flash to why we fought.

I love her, there's no question there.
No matter when no matter where.
Yet something always burs the dove
Thorns the weave, sowers the love.

A pendulum, a devils tail
Swings to and fro with deadly dwale.
Spreading poison in churned chaos
Melting me to paupers pathos.

But could we seam a shelled cocoon
To weather through the lovers noon
Then two could pierce the shell and fly
Two wings that make a butterfly.

And we would vie this Kismet goal,
And join as two and make one soul.

avoiding conflict in a long term relationship is impossible. The trick is to disagree without destruction. this was a nice effort. thanks for sharing.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

I would say, a short vacation away from each other, and you would both realize you can't live without each other. Parting makes the heart grow fonder
Incidentally, the wording of this poem is tremendous

Sy, I love this! Especially this verse:

But could we seam a shelled cocoon
To weather through the lovers noon
Then two could pierce the shell and fly
Two wings that make a butterfly.

Those 'butterfly moments' make it all worthwhile, don't they? Wonderful poem, Sy!
