I choose you in the winter
with cold white blankets on the earth
and downy fir around your face

I choose you in the spring
when love awakens within my breast
and your sweet lips caress my cheek

I choose you in the summer lush
when heat waves shimmer over me
and your damp skin takes my breath away

I choose you in the fall
when the forest drouses and
the fallen leaves call us to their deepening bed

I choose to lie with you entwined
to touch you with my lips, my hands, my mind
as your eyes asked to be touched

I choose all of these things because
I am a man who ceases to be a man
if he cannot choose you

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

This is a wonderfuly romantic poem, written so beautifully. The intertwining of the seasons, a lovely touch. ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Pegasus111,
This is a sensual, tender affirmation of love. Simply beautiful!

Pegasus~
This is softly romantic -
I'm pleased that it got pulled back up.
I like the thoughts that flow so gently.

This one just got to me---a simple expression of soul and nothing less--and THAT is poetry.  I hope some day, some one feels the same about me, and if it's not too much to ask, I also hope he could tell me so, this beautifully....
