Who grasps my hand with warm affection?
What gentle face invades the mind's reflection?
Whose petal lips brush mine ere gently?
What musky scent reeks love intently?

Blackest pools long lashed enfolding,
silken flesh so raptly holding,
whispered breathing, warm spring breezes,
love's ecstacy, pray nere it eases.

Was wandering in the back pages and found peg's first poem.  It is so lovely in its words that it deserves a reread.

This is so lovely.  (I keep wondering how I have missed some beautiful poems and have found out that these have been brought back by some kind hearted reader in the archives.)  Thank you. Joyce

Glad this was brought back up! You sure have a way with couplets, Peg, and this poem definitely warmed things up around here!

What musky scent reeks love intently?....Indeed. How primal and exotic the smell of love and lovers. You've a serious fire in your blood my friend.
