No one thought this could happen,
and when it did it didnt seem real.
You only thought of fun,
as you put your hands on the wheel.

You didnt stop yourself,
you didnt even bother to think.
When you got in the drives seat,
after having a little to much to drink.

You couldnt hit the brakes when you seen the lights,
because of the fact that you were going so fast.
You took in a really deep breath,
a breath you didnt think would be your last.

Your life was lost that night,
but you werent the only one to die.
And it gets harder and harder,
as the days go slowly by.

This is a warning,
to everyone and anyone.
The results from drinking and driving,
will never be fun.

***This is has nothing to do with me or anyone i know. I read something about drinking and driving and this is what i came up with.

Dawn~~~you know what i dont understand is why do they drive when they know that they are to intoxicated to drive. And the sad part about it is innocent people die because of it. I mean why not take the bus, walk or dive with someone that isnt drinking. I mean yeah i drink i go to parties but i dont drive i dont have my license (i have been in so many car accidents that im scared to get it.) And my boyfriend (the person that drives me home) refuses to drink if hes driving. I am sorry that you had to go through this. Its sad that people do this. Thank you for your reply.
