I think that you have heard of me!
I'm part of nature's sphere,
I make up every single sea
And rivers far and near.

I come down pouring from the sky
In the form of rain,
I'm there in every tear you cry
And yes, I know your pain.

I've been there through your longish days
When jobs don't seem to end,
I'm in your body many ways
And sometimes I'm your friend.

I'm in your every drop of sweat
And in your muscles too,
One thing for sure, I don't regret
Still keeping track of you!

There are times when I get mad,
And toss the oceans 'round,
Other times when I have had
The urge to flood the ground.

I'm really sorry for those times
When I've caused so many to die,
I tend to change, no beat or rhyme
And no real reason why.

I just wanted to reach out
And feel the solid ground,
Converse with people all throughout
The world that I have found.

I've invited some to seek
And search my ocean ways,
I tend to dislike all the meek
That venture through my maze.

I've dragged some of you further down
And to forever sleep
In my darkest regions of
My darkest, blackest deep.

Many of these I would have wanted
Not to happen then,
Accidents that still have haunted
Me, inside my den.

But whatever I have done
Is kept in records steady,
And I await the bravest one
To see me when they're ready.

If that is your dream come true,
Will that bravest one be you?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I want you now to know something,
A bit of news to you I bring;
I was there to see your birth,
When you came onto this earth.

I may give you life, but only in part;
I am in your blood, you are in my heart.

"I really don't know why it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, except I think it's because in addition to the fact that the sea changes, and the light changes, and ships change, it's because we all came from the sea. And it is an interesting biological fact that all of us have, in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea--whether it is to sail or to watch it--we are going back from whence we came."

Ah, I enjoyed this wonderful masterpiece.
I too love the sea, Iwas raised two blocks from the ocean and it's where I go to feel that special peace. You have painted a picture her with your words that comes to life. Beautiful. ellie

Sam,
How much we take for granted, The sea is part of us ,and we should honor the sea as you have so magnificently done! Without water, life ceases. Water supports our journey our whole lives, from the miracle of our births till the time we leave this mortal sphere. Well Done!

Spyro,
Such a moving piece I loved to read,
It opened my eyes and helped to see.
The water thus all around
Scarcly making near a sound.

Great Piece.

This is the first poem I've read by you Sam, and now I think I've been missing out on many a smile and good poem! Those last two lines especially caught me:

"I may give you life, but only in part;
I am in your blood, you are in my heart."

Loved this Sam!

Just came to check on ya, Spyro...and I must say you're doing a lot better, because this piece is fantastic! Beautiful job, you made it seem as if the water had come to life to tell us all what it was thinking and feeling.

A great job as always, little dragon.
I haven't stopped by your house for a while, I know, but I've been a little busy lately. Keep up the excellent work, Sam!

Sam, one more thing. Does this poem have anything to do with Seacil? She's been agitated lately, I think you've noticed. And, being who and what she is, I think she'd love this...have you shown her yet?
