(more in the saga of abc..this for my friend as well...!)

i long to talk to you
to ramble as you listen
to hear your voice
to borrow your smile--

but i dare not;

i would ask of you
to wound me.
i would ask that you
take my exposed heart
from my sleeve
and crush it once again--
even though,
you have since offered
your healing oitment--
it will take time
to truly trust again...

i dare not try to run
while still trying to shake
this limp.
as brushing off debris,
i still lick the wounds
inflicted by the vicious fall.

i wont ask you
to push me down again
but i long for you
to stand beside me--
as once you did...

It takes time to heal, sometimes a very long time. Great poem!

Oh this one bleeds, a painful but well written poem.

i would ask of you
to wound me.
i would ask that you
take my exposed heart
from my sleeve
and crush it once again--
even though,
you have since offered
your healing oitment--
it will take time
to truly trust again...

I too can feel your pain as I read this. Brings about memories of my own of a not to distant time.

I too could feel the pain in this lovely poem
especially could relate to how hard it is to trust again. Time heals. ellie

calling them to join
