Hi friends, I must tell you that what a pleasant surprise it has been to find such an intense interest in haiku here,  both in the posted haikus and from other members that have stated an interest in learning more about haiku.

I have a haiku forum at another site and this is the first other BB I have found that has an ongoing interest in haiku.  Thought I would share two of the good links that I have with you.

This website offers teachers and students an introduction to writing haiku poems, a chance to study the history and nature of haiku poetry.
If you would like to teach yourself how to write haiku, or would like to study haiku, or to learn the most fundamental poetry lesson ever, you are welcome to use the self-study units and the reference section.

This link is to the DMOZ Open Directory Project, it is a human generated and monitored search engine.  This will take you to the haiku (and other related forms) section which list the best Haiku sites on the web and is frequently updated.

If your browser chokes on that, go to http://dmoz.org/

and search for "Haiku and Related Forms

Enjoy!!!!
