I am the angel that sits on your shoulder--
singing my life away to your silent soul.
You can only dream of my fading touch;
the dimming whisper in your ears; a
ghostly mote that dances before your eyes.
Do you wonder why--sometimes you cry?
...at the sudden flash of the cardinal wing,
hidden in the emerald green;
...at the faint caress of mellow breeze,
that comforts with slow, gentle ease.
Blue sky hangs deep--breathlessly still,
with the distant echoes of an aching
hunger, of not knowing what is lost.
Forlorn sigh of hidden despair;
fragments of ancient sorrows past,
that haunts your sleeping soul,
consolidates into crystallized
beauty of the drenching rain
that falls from your lonely face;
as you strain to catch the fading bow.
Do you wonder--why?

I am the angel that sits on your shoulder--
you are the anchor that keeps me on earth.
Please, do not wake as I slowly sing...
my fleeting, elusive dream.

Lady Nogs-
  This is beautiful.  I can see her
  right there on my shoulder.
  You are so talented.

Lovely. I felt this was very elegaic, and has a beautiful melancholic power...

'left breathless and intoxicated...
