I deal in illusions--images of mind;
see that world spinning over there?
I created it--name it true;
once it was a dime, flat/thin
with only a ridged end
to pierce reality as it once sat in
the lines on the palm of my hand;
staring with my mind’s eye through
miniscule two-dimensional void
ghostly mist--breathing in words
infusion of new reality
across the ancient silver lands;
quick flick of wrist, toss in air
immaculate world falls up
into black star of invisible light,
as my words release on a spin of dime
flying through space and time
created out of nothing—
just illusion of my mind

Hi Vicky, thanks for the warm welcome.

I do have great fun with my silver dime worlds.  Once I realized that I could create them, I spent a night in wonderous delight. Flicking them off into unknown tangents, dancing across space. Oh, by the way this trick only works with real silver dimes, don't try with the copper ones.

Lady Nogs-
  Hi.  Thanks for the advise.
  I love the way you make your words
  dance off the paper - or the
  computer screen.      You have
  true talent.  You keep flicking
  them, and I'll keep catching them.

Vicky, what a lovely compliment, a wonderful way to start a day.

dg, yes I do get a lot of enjoyment out of creating my illusions.  And actually the silver dime concept has infiltrated several of my poems.

Silver dimes come in many forms, and if you roll the edge just far enough, 360 becomes a straight line. Loved the images!
