Could Be Anywhere...

under glass

the flower that sat next
once fresh and beauty full
now withers, petals falling.
the water, once life
now brown and aged
separated by glass, time.

voice that yesterday
once upon squandered youth
whispering, now silent.
the breath, once life
now calm and still
separated by glass, time.

eternity kissed, embraced
like petals pressed in youth
faded photograph, sharp.
the memory, life once
now bequeaths solace
separated by glass, time.

bleeding...

"Tis ink coming
from his arm,
Captain!"

Daniel~
I so enjoy your thoughts -
they run the spectrum of emotions.
Your versatility takes me on many rides.
