It's a mystical, rainy
mid-summers morning.
The garden awash in
shadowy lights,
a haven for fairies
and magical wonder.

The mist envelopes
your mind,
as it enclosses
this haven
of heightened fragrances
and transports
all the cares
of the day,
into another relm.
You are six years old
once again,
and believe
in fairies still.
There is no doubt
they are here.
Calling you to play,
and be silly again.
Calling you to dance,
and be magical and free.
So answer their call,
and know once again,
the joy of freedom
it brings,
to dance with the
fairies,
on a mystical
mid-summers morn.

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Although I'm still a child at heart you've taken me back to a time when the "real world" didn't intrude on childish things.  Thank you.

Mom,
This is so beautiful!! It took me back to a time when the only thing to worry about was whether or not you would let us play outside after dark so we could catch fireflies!  I really love this poem. ....Beth

Dear Ellie,
Once again you have delighted me with your vision of the unseen, and unheard, just beyond our grasp.......or is it?
Wonderful poem!  WRITE ON!,

thanks Bonnie and everyone who replied so sweetly. It's always fun to escape into fantasy once in a while.

Ellie,
You wouldn't even have needed to write any verses. The title is so beautiful in itself. But I'm glad you did write this magical poem, for it is sheer delight
