The Wind And I

A whisper in my ear,
A breath against my cheek,
I feel the wind,
Hold out my hand.
Hand in hand, we walk;
The wind and I,
Listening to the warbles,
Of the magpies in the trees.

I live in Florida and normally the only wind we get is before a storm.  But when I do feel the caress of the wind I always give thanks.  There's nothing in the world like it to me.

'Hand in hand we walk
The wind and I;'

This is a wondeful poem, with an eastern feel to it.

Lynne,
This is a beautiful representation of wind,
and ones relationship to it and the nature around us. Surreal and serene!

YuLan~
How delightfully done.
Such serenity is a pleasurable read.

Thank u bleeding, kelieth, kaile, Marge..
Mmm, I am not exactly trying out a new style of writing, no.. I wrote this a wee while ago, and it sounded finished, but was so short I felt it didn't express anything.. but I read it again, and decided I liked it just how it was.. hehe..

thank you all for such kind replies!!
