This is part II of "The Man who Lives in My Dreams"...Sorry, Mom, I know you really liked him..so did I.  "And you Learn and You Learn with every Goodbye, you Learn." (author unknown)

Now that you are gone
I thought that you should know;
that I never wanted you to leave,
I didn’t want to see you go.

I know that when you left
and walked out my front door;
you thought I thought of  everything,
but I have a few things more.

Every part inside me
every part that makes me whole;
will miss you very much,
more than you could know.

My hands will miss your skin
so smooth and soft to feel;
My lips will miss your lips,
and those kisses I had to steal.

My nose will miss the scent
of the cologne I know so well;
nuzzling in your neck,
lost in the pleasant smell.

My ears will miss the sound
of your deep sexy voice;
and the spell it would cast on me,
at times not giving me a choice...

My feet will really miss
not being on the ground;
for you lifted me up high,
and never let me down.

My arms will miss holding you
so close and so tight;
My sleep will miss being deprived,
from your snoring all through the night.

My stomach will miss aching
from laughing constantly;
at your  quirky jokes,
even the ones aimed at me.

The car has run out of fuel
the journey finally ends;
we walk our separate ways,
I can only dream we’ll meet again...

I’ll miss you, baby.

You have captured so well the essence of this goodbye Beth.  Written beautifully, and so very touching.  Bonnie

Touching piece every bit as enjoyable as the first.  The little things allways mean so much and linger in the memories for you to touch.

aah, Beth, I'm so sorry, but I trust that you know what's best. You wrote this poem beautifully from your heart. Time will heal.
Love, Mom

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Thank you for all your response...it really means a lot to me.  The words to this were taken from my heart to my notepad in about ten minutes...this really came from inside me.  Why is letting go the hardest part?

A great way to deal with an obviously huge loss.

You never know fate may play her hand....

LadyLost~
This is really a lovely piece of your heart.
As far as 'letting go' ...
if someone meant something in your life ...
then it should be difficult to let go.

Maintain the memories and perhaps the
next train of thought you two meet on
will be really good for you both.

ah...from one Lady to another, well done. The pain of a loss so eloquently expressed.
