Dr. Quacker

What is up with these doctors?
One gives a pill to lower
another a pill to raise.
One say’s “no sodium at all”
another, take salt
something different by third.

Where are these “experts” from
why do they so rarely agree,
are they taught,  No Clue 101?
Does it really take eight years
of school, followed by residency
to become a pill pusher?

Test for this, test for that
add a tube, take one away
try everything insurance will allow.
“Oh my, seems your coverage is up
thank you, the nurse will wheel you out
we can’t practice on you, anymore.”

What is up with these doctors
are they taught, No Clue 101?
“thank you, the nurse will wheel you out.”
Have you ever considered, what they call
one who graduates... bottom of the class?
same as number one, my friend... doctor.

Dan... your bitterness...errr..slip is showing. I can understand though how this would tend to p**s a person off. The AMA does seem to have its head up its collective...well you know what I mean. I am sorry to hear that WW is in such dire straits with this bunch of high-falutin' diploma wavin', insurance grabbin', bunch of yahoos. I will continue to keep praying for you guys.

After reading "Emptiness" I can see where the thoughts for this one come from.  What you say is true and one can't help but wonder the education and moral values of our doctors.  As far as health care & insurance systems in general - to put it plainly - they suck.  When an insurance company can get away with playing God by forcing a doctors hand and when people are dying for lack of payment something is very wrong.  God bless.

My do I understand the frustration and anger you feel here! You know a doctor on your HMO gets a monthly stipend whether or not you ever go to visit? Yep..they collect no matter what...

Yeh, the AMA sucks.
Keep in mind...when doc's finish their schooling, they are still called "practicing physicians"...not an encouraging thought!(especially when it is someone near and dear they want to practice on.)

God bless to you and your family!
