as faint as a whisper--
my little handprint;
the silence i leave
behind my glee.
you'll find me in
everything i touch
in every place i run.
its not my footprints
i leave behind--
they run too fast,
they just turn dust...
but my little fingers
don't miss a thing,
my little hands
reach high and low.
my tiny toes
may prop me up
but its my handprint
that gives me away!

Talk about precious, this poem takes the cake, as well as I'm sure your sweet little daughter does in your eyes.

I had to smile and think of all the little handprints collecting all over my house.  It always somehow feels wrong when I wipe them away.  Thanks for your lovely poem!

DGVarner~
A delightful read.

Brought to mind the 'handprint' wall
of our home in the raising of four children.
We affixed a special wall in one of the rooms and the children were allowed their
creativity on it.
When once we moved - the wall was taken with us.
It now is in place in one of our son's home
and hopefully will be continued when there are grandchildren to leave those 'little handprints.'

All of the children have photos of the wall.

Thank you for the trip down memory lane.
Enjoyed this so much.

Well, I was just wondering around passions, accedently stumbled on this little gem. Its so sweet and written with love... had to bring it back up.

I hope you have some of these little hand prints stored somewhere in a photo album to look back on in years to come.

Dee this is just wonderful, a perfect little treasure as is your babe. So you know I love this, as always, applause, and bravos aplenty.

This reminds me of my parents's house.  My grandson marked on the walls, and Mom can't bear to wipe it all away.  Those little fingers do seem to get everywhere!  Nice poem!
