STARS BRILLIANT STILL ...

Thank your lucky stars, today and tomorrow;
For stars believe not in luck, just fate.
They wish not upon the sky, up in the sky;
Choosing not to wish upon them(sacrificing)selves.

Age lets them ignore the rest of us;
Like buzzing flies around their heads.
No celebrations on their days of birth;
Either too old to remember, or just forgotten.

Shine on, like diamonds against black velvet;
Their light we see, even in darkest night.
Arms stretched out, reaching fired fingers;
To touch a lost sibling -- Big Bang's children.

Their hold so tight, our fears never to fear;
To let go and float darkly into open space.
Who then to keep the lonely star company?
Who then to weep the song for stars aplenty?

Reconsider the wish or trust fate's face;
Choice to make matters not to old Sol.
For stars come to their blackened ends;
As they came to their bursting births.

Stars have their moment and then they die;
But brilliant still in the skies of our lives.
Thank your lucky stars, to pray and sorrow;
Thank your lucky stars, to play on the morrow.

MA a wonderfully uplifting poem, Thank you for parting in the challenge. Well done.

Out of longing great wonders have been willed
They're only little tears, darling, let them spill" Nick

Wow, this is excellent, I love it.

"Shine on, like diamonds against black velvet;
Their light we see, even in darkest night."

These lines captured me

This is lovely, MA!

Shine on, like diamonds against black velvet;
