I have a garden at my place,
Spread through soil and sun's embrace
It grows a little every day,
And gains its beauty every way.

In this garden is a rose,
Beautiful as lovers' prose
And with a feeling all its own
In my heart this rose has grown.

Splendor I can't comprehend,
My eyes from this I cannot rend
Gorgeous extreme, beyond a doubt
This rose I cannot do without.

It was planted 'round the same
Time as I first heard her name
Spoken softly as a word
From heaven, or sung by a bird.

The rose, it grew through winter days
Late from January's haze
On through February too,
I thought I'd found my life anew.

Today this rose, in summer time,
Drives me on to make this rhyme
For the one I love the most,
From the caring Holy Ghost.

Her beauty is beyond compare,
(Couldn't find better anywhere!)
I feel a blessing in her grin,
And see her beauty deep within.

Doubtless she was heaven sent,
Into my life, an angel went.

Lovely. Warm and romantic. Nicely written.

May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out.

Chokingly sweet! *S*

It was planted 'round the same
Time as I first heard her name
Spoken softly as a word
From heaven, or sung by a bird.

This stanza sounds so dear!
