No peace

Glass shatters
Darkens my fear
Deep red blood
Mixed with a single salty tear

Poor twisted little souls
Falling into Hell
Carresed and decieved
Rescued by the doorbell

Opened the door
Met by police
Took my father away
There's still no peace

This was written in response to an old, OLD challenge in which we were asked to write about an abused child.  I never got around to doing it until about a month ago.  Hope y'all enjoy!

PS- haven't been here in forever, How is everyone???

Eventually, all dreams come tru. If you wait long enough!

Just fine, Alicia, how have you been? I'd say you met the challenge very well!

Simple yet honest, true and blue... U painted a picture with ur literature! Thanks for sharing this poem. I believe many children can relate to this tragedy. *S* Moving!
