SAYING GOODBYE

I awoke with a start to a rush of air and a soft flutter against my cheek.

In Tinkerbell fashion, a shimmer of light hovered in the darkness about my head.

With a giggle and a whoosh! it darted off again, the remnants of a blown kiss trailing behind....

To travel on assignment past the twinkling stars and the Man in the Moon...onward and upward to the magical Kingdom.

And through the silence of the night came a lilting melody, sung high and slightly off key--

When I arose with the dawn, upon my pillow lay a sprinkling of stardust.  I knew that one more place had been set at the Celestial Table.

Great touch.  I enjoyed the poem very much. It is a sad piece.  I yearn for more from you to read.

Susan~
Welcome to Passion's family.
This is just a wonderful read.

Looking forward to more from you.

Thank you all for the wonderful welcome. What a nice site for sharing. I look forward to looking at the new submissions each day after work. Haven't done much with poetic words, but they're "in there" somewhere!
