With your sensual swirl and your hypnotic sway
Carry me with you...... take me away
Your quivering flounces caressing your hips
The wells of your eyes and your soft moistened lips
Your hands arching skyward Castanets high
Your screams of fulfilment your shuddering sigh
My heart racing with you is pounding the beat
The moon looks upon in the shimmering heat
The music is stroking a climatic phrase
Perspiration glistens my eyes are a glaze
Your smooth silken back in ebony lace
Flickering lanterns lighting you face
You pass me so close my nostrils are flared
The scent that surrounds you has my feelings bared

And then in a moment your frozen upright
Like a statue a goddess your sinews are tight
The thunder begins from the tips of your toes
And swiftly and sudden the trembling grows
Your feelings unbridled the fan wafting fast
To the heavens above your passions are cast
Then one last crescendo bursts from your lips
And is caught and caressed with my finger tips
The instant applause is arresting and loud
With shouts of ‘Bravo’ from the mesmerised crowd

I sit all agog speechless and spent
As you disappear to your shimmering tent
Sweet Spanish lady so erotic and free
Dance the flamenco.....dance it for me

Jon~
This is very pretty and takes one along in the beauty of the dance.

Now WHO is that man salivating at the side table ???

Wow.. what a scene.. ^_^ Yeah, I'd love to see some real flamenco dancing.. I have seen glimpses on television, and in books.. but still..
Well written.. glad you enjoyed your trip.

WOW Jon, I have to meet this dancing woman. lol. A wonderful poem, perfectly capturing the energy beauty and passion of that dance.

Incredible job, Jon!   Great imagery, and excellent rhyme!

[A little something on the side - the Spanish Lady was also a type of influenza that...well, let's just say it made a LOT of people very, VERY unhappy...and I do mean unhappy...but I don't think this wonderful poem would be related to anything so...well...unpleasant.]

What a sensual (and sexy) poem you have written...The dance of a woman who hypnotizes a man with the movements of her body and the passion in her eyes...I think I might have to take up Flamenco dancing ..hehe :0)< !signature-->

Wow! You made this poem so real and it just came alive as you used your pen like a video camera, I could feel that beat and see the dancer in my minds eye so vividly! Fabulous job! Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.
