Hot winds of summer extinguish
A wavering spirit, yellowed from
Time & Pain
The asphalt, beaten down from the suns heatwave
And, in that moment- Thought,...
That I'd never sleep again
A grain of sand on the shore of eternity

My soul drowned in the depths of your eyes
I lost part of me Forever
But, awakened to the terrible demon
Of insecurity
As promises flung upon the breath
Of indifference,
Balanced on the wings of deceit
Secrets abandoned for vultures to devour

Devoted never & always,
Or. forever & a day/
Trapped between infatuation & true love,
Reality & child-like dreaming
You've promised me nothing, everything,
And, this moment-

Allow me to sleep now
Permit my simplified dreams to
Wither: let out the Icy Love Cry of a
Cold blue flame that flickers/
When the shadow of truth blows out.
In Silence:
Matter your true lies again,
To allow belief in Love for now.
