Sometime in the winter months, Something I considered once, Someone sent me word of this, Someplace I have come to miss... Sometimes I just wonder why, Something breaks me down to cry, Someone knowing I can't complete Someplace I had meant to keep Running with my welcome word Not expecting like a herd Of people coming, seeing, going, And yet all the time I'm knowing I can't keep up, with it all growing. It makes me smile to see this place Grow in size, with many a face New and shining, posting bright From crack of dawn 'til dark of night. Sometime in the winter months, Something I considered once, Someone to myself did dare Someplace that might need my care. This blessed-by-Jesus place has grown, Which I'm happy to have called my home For a little while... The Pub's had an exponential rise Passing right before my eyes. To Denise (and Dreamer too), Thank you for running this place.  _______________________________________________________________ My computer has crashed for the eighth time in the past two months. If this keeps up I'm going to have to get a new system, and I'll be off the Net for longer than I'd be able to stand...  I'm really sorry I can't keep up with all the new poets pouring in and all the incredible and wonderful poems being posted by everyone here...please give me some time to rebuild my arsenal and regroup a some...You're all great people. Little_Spyro: You have a heart of gold, God bless you for your kindness. Without you and all the other wonderful poets here in the Pub and all through passions Denise and I would not have the joy of being Moderators. It's tough to keep up now, I know, Sam. Just a couple of months ago you were writing welcome poems to all the new members here and in Open and I was able to read all the poetry in two or three of the forums and reply to most, now I can't even keep up with the Pub. I hope your computer problems are fixed soon and you can get back into the swing of things here. Denise |
