you are the one
i've never met,
the voice
i've never heard.
i know you not
by your face--
or your laughter,
but by the very soul of you.

you've extended your heart
without fear of me,
and recieved mine--
broken and marred,
with patient embrace.

you smile when i smile,
sharing my laughter
like a longtime friend.
you kneel down beside me
when i cannot stand,
offering your warmth
when i cry.

you are the friend
i've never touched,
yet you
have touched
my heart...

i just wanted to say....

when i dont say much (in replies), its because i'm not really good with on the spot words..but this is what i want to say..while i read your poetry and "listen" to your comments..i feel like i know you--even as i dont..i guess we know the best part of each other..our souls..our hearts..the deepest stuff

so..i hear you when you speak..i glow bashfully when you comment..i listen when you cry..i laugh when you laugh....and i thank you for doing the same for me..

hugs!  dg

Come with me where souls reside
Where tears are shed and feelings hide
Where fairies dance and goblins laugh
Come on down this starry path
Where peace now sits on golden sand
Come with me to passion land

The silence here just brims with love
The electric words come from above
Dressed in joy and long sweet sighs
Magic forms before your eyes
Words of hope sprawl from your hand
When you’re with me in passion land

Come and hear the hawks’ shrill cry
Where black cats live and dragons fly
Where smiling faces wink at you
The clouds are white the sky is Blue
Come and view the harbour grand
Atop the hill in passion land

See how laughter rends the air
When sparkling verses gather there
You can pour out sorrow welcome hope
And if you’re on that slippery slope
Come where kindred’s understand
Come with me to passion land

Regards Jon

Look forward to lots more of your poetry.

I know that I'm but a stranger to you,
But to my heart your words ring true
'Tis stange there's a closeness-and
  distance,too,
Bringing a secure presence
In words that we view.

Thank you for your warm and wonderful poem-and reminding of the many friends I have met but never truly seen.

dg...this is a beautiful tribute, but please keep in mind that you are just as special. You have a wonderful talent. Jon's was just as touching as well. So much talent here!! What a great place to call home!

So much talent in just one place
So much warmth, love, and grace
A place to shed our outside shells
A place to bare our souls as well
Thank you, dg, for this outreach
I agree all the way with what you had to say

When I feel lonely
And don't know what to do
I find that I only
Have to visit these pages of blue
Because the door is always open
So I don't need a key
And the folk that reside
Quietly inside...

    Are more like family
