(not my best effort- but a quick try-using haiku)

Butterflies heatwave
Leaves fluttering memories
When cold blankets come.

Maybe not, but still an enjoyable haiku.

David, it's good to see you in the Corner Pub.  "Not your best effort!"  I disagree, this is a great haiku, very unique and creative.  Challenge exceptionally well met!
The only criticism I have is that it seems that one season is missing, I could be wrong, please let me know.

Take care,
Melissa Honeybee

David; What do you mean, not your best effort? I loved it cause it's about butterflies! Love, Sis C):?)

 Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Melisa H.--I claim to have included all four seasons on a technicality--
Butterflies=Spring
Heatwave=summer
Cold Blankets(snow)=winter
Leaves(Though used as a verb)=is my allusion to Fall or autum.

Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement---David
