The thunderstorm rolled in so fast,
Hardly had time to take shelter,
The cold rain, stinging exposed skin,
Sure to ease this summer swelter.

Lightning then flashed, startling us all,
And we made our hasty retreat,
Although we were already soaked,
We still remainded swift on our feet.

We sloshed safely into the van,
With picnic basket left behind,
Our stomachs grumbling with regret,
But haven from the storm, we find.

The weatherman said, "Hot and Clear",
Where the clouds came from, no one knows,
At least He got it partly right,
It is a fact that no one froze!

We leave the park, soaked to the skin,
Windshield wipers flapping with glee,
Our next adventure now begins,
Finding the closest "Mickey-D's"!

Dennis; "finding the nearest "Mickey D's"!
You certainly have a flair for taking an
ordinary experience and creating a poetic masterpiece out of it! Great job, Bro!

Dennis, So light and fun. I like the fun adventures you tell. I had a chuckle here.

Great story Dennis ya know I doubt the weather men are ever right and they have the facts handed to them.
