Seventh Heaven

I see my face within thy mirror of time
amidst my eyes of green lies crows feet
ye cast an illusion of beauty with rhyme
only for a fair maiden to gallantly greet.

Mine eyes disable thy needed confidence
to be available to thy steed riding Knight
ye scroll on thy oak desk only coincidence
thine words delightful send me in flight.

Thy dragon of time has danced too close
slowly dipping thy age into obliviousness
with ye image before me as slowly ye arose
off ye steed approaching with nervousness.

Thy hand outstretched in design of desire
how can thee fair maiden decline ye grace?
Thoughts rustle around while palms afire
just dreaming of riding off within ye pace.

Ye come close and cradle thy body in arms
so strong I feel like an innocent child in love
carrying me to thy steed exhibiting ye charms
leaving me in seventh heaven on wings of dove.

Sounds like a strong Knight

Ye cast an illusion of beauty with rhyme.

Wonderful line

Jon

Esmeralda, abeautiful tale of olde love in them dark days of knights and dragons and maidens.

slowly dipping thy age into obliviousness
with ye image before me as slowly ye arose
off ye steed approaching with nervousness.

Thy hand outstretched in design of desire
how can thee fair maiden decline ye grace?
Thoughts rustle around while palms afire

a beautiful poem.

Esmeralda,
Be still my heart! WOW! Thy verse so sweet and pleasing to mine eye. So good to see thee posting here again. I shall tell the White Knight of thy return! Dennis :^)

Well, I don't know about time, but I think I can dance... And I really hope that knight doesn't all of a sudden decide to slay me!

Really, though, this is a beautiful poem (as I'm sure you've heard already)...

"Ye come close and cradle thy body in arms
so strong I feel like an innocent child in love
carrying me to thy steed exhibiting ye charms
leaving me in seventh heaven on wings of dove."
That was definitely my favorite line (with the one where you mentioned the dragon coming a close 2nd  )

Beautiful job, Esmeralda!
