Being a poet may be scary,
So few, close would tarry
But still I can laugh,
Because two true friends I have
Named Thesaurus and Rhyming Dictionary.

If others understood this guy
And my lines, which are so good,(my,my)
They'd say "Great" and "Amen,"
Instead of "Duh" and "Ahem!"
(I'm gald only the Smart ones reply.

I came and ain't been the same since,
To this poetry site--par excellence
Where poems are the sensation,
Posted , seeking validation
Hoping they won't revoke my poet's license!

David; Wonderful. Terrific tribute to our corner of heaven here at Passions.
I gotta get me one of them there rhyming dictionerys. Maybe then I'll take the plunge, (but not in Dennis's pool)!
Great job. Sis

They won't revoke it that's for sure.

Somebody may start charging you for it though!

David,
I see "APPROVAL", stamped all over them.
Good job. Is ellie, "Thesaurus" and Becky, "Rhyming D."?  I'm going to quit doing you this way. From now on, just decent honest comments. I promise,....maybe.  marcy

I love the second verse.  I had to chuckle when picturing people running for a dictionary to find out what the words mean.

David - I stopped in here for a peek and find you and David and Ellie, I'll have to stop in here more often.  What a terrific poem.  I didn't know there was such a thing as a rhyming dictionary.  Guess I learn something from you no matter what forum you're in.  Bonnie

David,
You've said a mouthful! Ah the life of a poet! Will they ever understand us? LOL
