Ok the first  poem I've written in months... maybe the muse hasn't entirely deserted me after all !!!

The moon ate up the dazzling sun
And lit the stars all one by one
The  wind whispered a melody
Soothing the soul setting the spirit free
My mind swims in a sea of stars
Unbound from life's  confining  bars
The  night  claims and swallows me
Blinding my mind, I can finally see
Becoming entangled in a dizzying haze
Until I become the stars  at  which I gaze
Floating on the clouds in my mind
Leaving reality  far far behind

 Mystical being
which makes ink flow
Surround me in
your incandescent glow
Fill my brain with
thoughts and rhyme
As I try to capture
but a moment in time
~Shan~

I'm a star watcher.  My telescope stands ever ready.  It's nice to think of being able to see things from the perspective of a star.  Lovely sentiment, lovely poem.

I love every line of this, it is not the quanity that counts but the quality and I would say this is A-1.

"Blinding my mind, I can finally see";
