i wrote this for my cousin and his wife when they got married..
--------------------

My Love,
You are the dream
That bids me sleep
And the morning
To which I rise...

This day, I become yours--
Not as possession,
But to hold

That I may dance, hold me loosely
As the air embracing a flame
If I should shake, hold me surely
As an Angel guarding my soul

Come to me with your laughter
That I might touch your heaven
Reach for me in your sorrow
That I may help slay the demon

From this day forward
You are harmony to my song

My only love,
You are the dream
That whispers, follow--
And the sun
Which bids me wake...

Those lines are spine tingling, and charged with such power, the precis of a successful
partnership.

That is wonderful

dgvarner,
This is a beautiful expression of love and devotion,

Come to me with your laughter                That I might touch your heaven               Reach for me in your sorrow                  That I may help slay the demon

This is wonderful!

This would be beautiful wedding vows.  I like the way the couple are described, not as possessions of each other, but as entities to hold closely, like an encircled  flame.

I was just browsing around and found this.  It's so lovely, I just had to bring it up again. What a beautiful gift!
