We sway beneath a canopy of stars
To music strumming softly on guitars
On velvet sands you hold me in strong arms
And fly me to the moon with all your charms.

You softly whisper sweet things in my ear
A fire burns as close you hold me near
And to the pounding rhythm of the sea
We lose ourselves in passion's ecstasy.

Then underneath soft moonlit midnight skies
We lie enraptured gazing into eyes
Now singing songs of our undying love
Heard only by we two and stars above.

Once more you pull me close and gently kiss
My face, my neck, again I know your bliss;
As cheek to cheek we stroll along the dock
You vanish to the clanging of my clock.

Denise~
This is just a beautiful thing !

'Then underneath soft moonlit midnight skies
We lie enraptured gazing into eyes
Now singing songs of our undying love
Heard only by we two and stars above.'

Glad Marge unearthed this.     The nice thing about dream guys is you don't have to pick up their socks.  I enjoyed this very much.

This was a real resurrection, Marge! LOL I had totally forgotten about this one! I wrote this in response to a challenge from Lost Dreamer (Gloria) She graciously allowed me to borrow her dream guy since I never remember my dreams! I'm glad that you both liked it, Marge and kcsgrandma! ROFL @ not having to pick up his socks!   Thanks for reading and for your lovely replies!

Dear Denise; Sometimes the fantasy is soooo much more fun than the reality. (no belching either) All kidding aside, I love the flow and the imagery in this passionate, romantic poem. Beautiful! Love, Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.
