Summer is almost here,
May be a hot one I fear,
I must prepare steady,
So I will be ready,
Better get my butt into gear!

The swimming pool has to be filled,
The water heated, so it isn't chilled,
The chemicals cost alot,
But it's worth it if its hot,
I'll worry 'bout it later when I'm billed.

The old ladder was rusted and weak,
As you climbed, it would rattle and creak,
So I threw it away,
For a new one I must pay,
This project is getting more expensive as I speak.

I must run the filter 24-7,
If I don't the Algae will leaven,
A swamp I don't need,
Where the mosquitos would breed,
And ruin my little bit of heaven!

At last, the pools lookin' fine,
My summer oasis divine,
But the bills just arrived,
And if I'm going to survive,
I'm going to have to work alot of Overtime!
