Hellooo..
just a wee break from my studies.. found some time to spend here again.. umm, this poem I wrote in History class today, I wasn't going to post it yet, until i had edited it.. but I just read Alicia's post, in the feeling's forum, so i thought I would post it for her..

here ya go, Alicia..

(It has no name yet.. 'coz I just wrote it.)

Floating on cotton-wool clouds,
Soaring above my troubles.
Sailng past life
In a flurry of giggles.
Timeless time,
Endless beginnings,
Hopeful hope,
A dozen doves
An olive branch;
My heart is overflowing
With the generous gems
Of a life worth living.

Drowning in sorrowful salt,
Gasping for breath as you run
To catch life's hand
As it passes you by.
Timeless time,
Endless ends,
Hopeless hope,
A whisper of doves,
But a guilty, smoking gun.
My heart is heavy laden
With the shattering sorrows
Of a life worth living.

Whew...this one is thought-provoking all right! I hope Alicia does get to read it.

Love and hugs,
Lizzie

Yu Lan this is a wonderful train of thought.

Very warm.  Alicia will take heart from this piece of caring.

Since I didn't read Alicia's post, I am opening this up to my own interpretation. It sounds like a very caring message to someone, and is written very well. Thanks for the read.

I didn't read Alicias post either, so I too, am opening this to my own interpretation.  It seems as though both stanzas are completely different.  The first one is full of happiness, joy, and peace...a very tranquil time.  However, the second one is suffering and pain, its dieing...The gift of life, and the cost of death.  I could be wrong,   I probably am!  But I liked it alot.

Hello,
thank u all for replying, can't stay long..

Wobbly bob.. umm, basically what i was saying in this poem, was that life has it's ups and downs, and it is worth living through the good times, and also throught the bad times, although sometimes it may not feel like it. ^_^ Well, no, u r not wrong, u can never be wrong, in inturpreting a poem, only if u say that the poet meant ..blahblahblah.. but if u say that U think it means, or it means to U, then u can always be right. ^_^ poetry is for ppl, isn't it? ^_^

Thank u Lizzie, yes, so do I..

Thanx Jon, I hope she will, I wrote it before I read her post, but after I read it, it just seemed to be for her.. ^_^

And Warmhrt.. thank you, that's just how i meant it to sound. **beams**

Lynne,
Thanks for thinking of me with this beautifully written poem.  I guess that it really hit home.  I just don't know where I am and where I'm going.  I appreciate the sentiment though.
