Sorrow,
pain, anguish;
these I feel
now that
you're gone.

Your life,
cut
so short.

Your joy
stopped,
so sudden.

Death
has robbed me
of my
inspiration.

You were
taken
from me
when I needed
your support.

Support for
the lifelong dreams
we had.

Wishing
there was
something
I could've done.

There was
so much
we'd planned
to do and see
together.

All our
dreams,
will never
come true.

Tis sad,
this sudden
loss of
you.

It leaves
a hole
in my heart
that will
never heal.

A hole
so big,
nothing can fill
this emptiness.

Holding onto
the memories
of time
spent with you.

It eases
my pain,
but doesn't erase
my sorrow.

Trying to
live
without you,
I hope that
I'll survive.

You meant
so much
to me.

I wish
I could've
only let
you know.

I'll never
forget
how much
you helped me.

Helped me
to see
who
I really am.

See how much
my gift
for words
was important.

You'll always
be
in my heart.

Someday,
soon,
we'll be
reunited.

Whenever I
remember you,
I see
your smiling face.

The jou
we shared
comes back
to keep
me warm.

You gave
me
love, support,
and understanding.

Every time
I hear
our songs,
I cry.

You and I,
we had
something
very special.

We were
so close,
and now
I've lost you.

You opened
me
up to
new ideas.

You helped
me
see things
as I never
had before.

Now tragedy
has taken
you away.

I never
got the chance
to say
goodbye.

I never
got to
tell you
how much
I cared.

I'll miss
you,
and always
love you.

So now
I'll say
this one
final goodbye.

Goodbye,
my friend.
Goodbye
my love.
Goodbye
from me
to you.

May you
rest in
eternal peace.

epoet - this is a beautiful tribute to someone who obviously made quite an impact on you.  The saddness will ebb.  All the wonderful things this person taught you and the memories you have will keep them alive in you.

Man...reading this one right after the other one...what an extreme wave of emotion.  Losing your inspiration...thats very touching, very sad, and almost completely unfair.  I liked the way you made it clear that you would be reunited, telling your lost love not to worry, soon enough you'll be there.  Again there was no set structure (I'm big on structure) but its not necessary here in this (or either) piece.  I applaud your work, very difficult indeed.

thank you for your comments.  I'm not one for structure though bob, to me poetry just flows without needing structure.  I tend to just write what I feel and let it go from there.  Thanks for the comments and appreciation of my work.

Wow, what a wonderful tribute to the special person.  Lots of lessons in here for us all. I really liked to format, my only problem was one misspelled word (joy) that stopped the flow momentarily. Thanks for sharing.

thanks patriciaanne  I thought someone would like the lessons in this one.
I tried to portray everything I felt about losing someone close to me.
