Silent cries
all over the world.
Little eyes
never seeing at all.

When I was made
you didn't know me at all.
What I'd be
you'll never know.

I might have been
your very best friend.
The things I might have done
could have saved the world.

Silent tears
never dry on their own.
Precious ears
never hear at all.

If you would have
just let me be,
I know I would've
made it on my own.

I'm sure I could've learned
but you didn't want to try.
Well, now I'm gone
and it's your turn to cry.

Silent screams
echoing in your ears.
Crazy dreams
showing you your fears.

What you did
can never be reversed.
But what about next time,
will you do it again?

Didn't you love me?
I was part of you.
Unfortunately, for me
there wasn't room for two.

Silent hearts
never beating at all.
Worlds apart
that's what we were.

You and I
will never know
just what might've happened
had you let nature go.

Silent hands
never creating at all.
Love still stands
even though yours took a fall.

That's okay mommy,
I forgive you
because I love you...

I'm guessing that this was written on abortion?  It's very well done.  I like it.

I awake to a world I don't want. There is no transition for me. I am in heaven. I am in hell.

Wow, a very powerful and poignant piece on abortion.  Very well written in the eyes of the unborn baby to it's mother.  It was the end that really was the heartwrencher
"that's okay mommy,
I forgive you
because I love you"
now that is a powerful ending to an already bittersweet poem. Thanks for posting this, I hope that more people read this.

Take care,

thank you very much.  Yes it is about abortion.  I wrote after having a philosophical debate with some army buddies and then sent it to a friend of mine who I didn't know had had one done.  She wrote me back saying that this made her regret her choice.

What a powerful poem!!  You handled the topic very well, I thought. I've also had many heated debates on this subject with many people, and your poem really touched my heart.  Thank you for writing it.

Thank you for the critique.  This was a very touchy subject for me to write on.  However, it's one subject that is dear to me. Life is precious and I don't believe in wasting it.

thank you bob.  I tried to put myself into this situation when writing this.  However, I think that this is one of my better poems.  Look for more soon.
