I feel like I've been gone from this world for so long
Living somewhere where I feel I belong
Where I'm comforted, blessed, and told I am good
This place I am living is inside my own head
I've blocked out the struggles, the problems, the chaos
I've been wrapped up in my own little head
With so many thoughts
But a world of just pretend
My mind tries to tell me that it's for my own good
But I just cannot see this all being all right
Because I'm missing out on everything
So why...
Why am I only seeing my own flourecent light?

Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old time is still a-flying,
And this same flower that smiles today
To-morrow will be dying.

When you are a teenager, you tend to be brought down by your own defaults, no matter how small they may actually be.  But, fair warning, hold on for the ride of your life!

Life defines no more than what it is you ask for.

Yeah I think everyones got one of those lights.

The trick is knowing when to turn it on and when to turn it off.

You'll get the hang of it.

Hi
I've felt exactly like you've said. I agree with Jon as we can decide when to turn it on and off. Without those we cannot survive the hard days.

Sincerely

*ponders everyone else's response..*   Turn it on or off.. Why not get a lampshade and let your light still shine through? Maybe I missed the point, but I do think it's well written. Good job.

I awake to a world I don't want. There is no transition for me. I am in heaven. I am in hell.
