Between day and dusk
as Picasso paints the evening sky
we stand
alone
no words spoken between us
your hand reaches
through the walls towering around my heart
as you take my hand
Opening my palm slowly
you lean down
laying upon it a sigle kiss
your kiss leaves a rose
with a single rose
silent tears i cry
hands brush my tears away
hands that belong to you
in silence you speak
this white rose
is for the purity  i see in you
is for your love   that grows inside my heart
is for the trust   i hold for you
your heart
your mind
your soul
this white rose is for you
cherish it
hold it close
remember what i say
never forget
under a twilight sky
in silence   once more
i glance at the sky tonight
hues of pink disapear
as midnights cloak covers this painted sky
silence has engulfed my soul
my tears subside
i speak
your words
shuttering through my heart
your words
echo within this soul
your words
spoken with kindness
compassion
love
have touched my heart
i do hold them close
with my heart
i can't forget what you speak

i will never forget
