Early do I rise
I must get to work on time
Shower and quick shave
Brush my teeth and comb my hair
Must hurry, no time to spare

I stop to buy gas
Doughnut and cappuccino
I must stay alert
No time for breakfast at home
Now I'm racing off to work

Traffic's light today
No trucks or early school bus
To make me late now
The parking lot is empty
DARN, it's Sunday, MY DAY OFF!

Dennis...LOL, how funny reminds me of one time I was heading for church and I hopped on the highway heading to work instead.

I love it but I hope you did not really do this.

ROFL   Fortunately, I never made it out of the house before I realized I didn't have to go anywhere!

Good one, Dennis.  You had me laughing at the end.  Wonder how many of us will admit to doing the very same thing (of course, I am guilty also).  Good read.

Dennis,
  I just found this Gem-
I'm glad it's not me but him
But if it's hereditary-
Then I'm in for something Scary!!!

I enjoyed this very much
Tanka, tanka, Tanka!!!
