To The One I Loved Fateful: I have so often sat here remembering your cursed face like the last thing a man sees before his death you forever burned in to my memory.... I wonder what is this mad obsession with you and others who have hated me , perhaps its the masochist in me? I don't really know GOD!! I have loved you more then life or love would stand, I have! I would have bleed for a single stare or glance of your dark face. It was to much for a mortal heart to bear , I sit here now years later like a widow of sorts , morning a love that could never be, and latching on to my bitterness so tender of heart and age. They say it was better to have love then loss, then to have never ,loved at all?? Wait moronic fool uttered those words. Now to watch you leave pretending it doesn't hurt that its the best thing for me. I'm beyond comfort now. In my dreams. the only place of solitude I have touched your face with my frail hands Felt every trace of your bewitching skin Only in my dreams, would you dare let me this close Why did I make you hate me ? I have become your shadow I'm what haunts you in the hours of twilight For in our world of dreams, I'm just a step behind you perhaps to guard you in this life not from myself or but from my love... I sit here watching you from afar in the corner of your room, that is your heart . God how I loved you....... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To a love that shall remain unnamed She is like a cat in the dark and then she is your darkness....she rules her life like a bird in flight...Bard Gypsy |

This poem is really a ode to love lost , perhaps the most overly done thing since time began , but for me this really was a healing for my soul , Sorry so depressing..... The Shadow really represnts what I've become over the years, and his since my love is unforgotton She is like a cat in the dark and then she is your darkness....she rules her life like a bird in flight...Bard Gypsy |
