You seem to look at me Strange Then, Shake your head And wonder,,, Why?? But, Don't mock me because, I Cry It Maybe,,, A Long Good-bye; Sad Movie or Love Song But, Don't mock me because I Cry Because you choose to reprove me Although opaque to my tears; Just Love me. Stop, knocking my choice to soothe I know you rather I handle my predicaments, In a Rowdy, Raucous sort of way So, I'll be terse when I say,... Don't Mock Me, When I Cry. Could it be,,, When I wiped them dry I had been working through my fears? But, You thought... I was barren in the shedding of my tears. Don't mock me because, I Cry Is it that; Unplausible That I'm not, As Fallible; As you think? So, as you Mock I Chortle For, When you thought I was weak I became Strong; Not Isolated or Alone The Release/ Helped me to Go On Don't Mock me When I Cry (This Poem is dedicated to all those who taunted me during one of the most trying times of my life and, to those who think Shedding Tears, is a Sign of Weakness.) yes, a striking poem, princess.. I know what you mean, u DO get stronger, every time someone mocks you, says you are weak.. but geez.. it hurts, eh? well, tears are life.. tears are a natural way to express sorrow, and no person is ever weak, or shameful, for doing so.. I believe, that if a person cannot cry, they are not a real person, until they shed their first tear... although, for some sorrows, tears are not enough.. I wrote a poem once, entitled, "tears are not enough" but.. I never really captured it, 'coz I always had too big a lump in my throat to think about it.. so it never really got "written". Yeah, I like this poem, nicely said.. Lynne |

I agree with all that you say...tears are a sign of renewal, strength, building and stuff like that. Tears are when your body can't keep the emotion in side so it needs to find an outlet.Lovely poem! PrincessPoet~ This is well written from the heart. If anyone were to ever mock the tears of another ... which I can't imagine ... I would cry right along with you and be proud to do so. Our tears are just that - OURS ! I've had people that have said 'don't cry' out of tenderness or perhaps at their own helplessness at not knowing what to say or of not knowing how to comfort one who cries. I cried anyway. I am not ashamed of my tears if they fall for someone I've loved, lost, shared joy with or just plain 'cause I needed to cry. You've done a really good job of explaining how the thoughtfulness of others would only make you need to cry more. Bless you and let no one 'mock' you in anything you do. Well, if you want my opinion on tears,here it is... Tears, are somehing that can take away stress, or grief, or sorrow. So don't be afraid when you cry, cause everybody does, at sometime or another, even the ones that make fun of you when you cry. -Chico |

Great poem, I cry if I drive down the road and there's a wedding, I even cried once after I yelled out my car window to someone that they left their lights on, my daughter thought I lost it...LOL |

No mockery here Princess I love that line from Marge..."Our tears are just that-OURS!" I agree with all of these comments, altho' never yet cried because some one left their lights on, then again maybe did when I left mine on....Hmmmm. Jack |
