Tranquilness

The sun beamed down and touched me softly
as the sand drew itself over toes grasping on.
I felt the aura of an angel caressing my heart
as the waves of tranquility danced before me.

Soul opened wide pouring champagne cheers
as though this were my very last day to feel.
When could I come again to this tranquilness,
feeling my whole self connected beyond life?

The chill felt down my neck just angels breath
blanketing me in a cocoon of heavens loveliness.
At this place I let all go and feel tranquility's arm
embrace me and cradle away all my insecurities.

~Here's the challenge, please write about a person, place, or thing that brings tranquility into your life.~

Lovely poem, Gloria.

O.K. I've got one, but I can only post an excerpt--the rest of it will get banned from Passions.

I think I already have.  All of my happy poems are about the one person who brings traquility to my life through our friendship.  I'll try to come up with another one though.

Gloria, i hope you wont mind me bumping this up again but there are several new poets at the Pub and i thought it would be interesting for them to try on this challenge
this is one of my favourite challenges as it let me have a peek into the mindsets of our poets here and i am now eager to do that again

LostDreamer~
This is such a poem of serenity.
I would feel that perhaps it is
one of the best ones I've read from you.
To find tranquility within ourselves
is to spread peace to others.

*Kaile -
Thanks for the 'bump'.

Really beautiful. Left me breathless.

This is so beautiful! Peace exudes from every beautifully written word. I'll join right in on this terrific challenge. Ellie

the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.
